A leading flue and chimney manufacturer approached us for help with database cleansing and generating leads from an internal database.
The database had not been actively used in 2 years, the aim of the campaign was to update the existing information and generate leads for the business development managers to follow up.
The client had assumed that the database would need to be cleansed first, then a telephone lead generation campaign would be required.
Firstly, we recognised the opportunity to cleanse the database and generate leads through a single telemarketing campaign, thus saving the client money and time.
This was the route we recommended to the client, initially starting with 90 hours of calls.
We also encouraged the business development managers to contribute to the call brief, specifically around commercial information which would be valuable for them to know about a prospect.
This then allowed us to build into the calls a series of questions.
This telemarketing campaign by far was the most successful our client had ever carried out.
Engagement levels were very high and we were able to identify additional opportunities within other business sectors.
The level of detail provided from both the telemarketing calls and our weekly reporting allowed our client to keep the management team regularly updated with progress throughout.
Our client is now planning a further three B2B telemarketing campaigns to be carried out by the More Than Words team.
